Starting Location: *North Bay Pavilion, Independence Grove, Des Plaines River Trail South Side***

Please join us for a scenic group cycling event along the beautiful Des Plaines River Trail, starting at the North Bay Pavilion in Independence Grove. This ride is open to participants ages 10 and up, making it perfect for families, friends, and cycling enthusiasts looking to enjoy the outdoors together. The route will head south along the Des Plaines River Trail, renowned for its flat, wide, crushed gravel paths that wind through lush forests and open wetlands.

Event Highlights:
Location-Independent Groves: The ride will pass through several picturesque groves and rest areas, allowing participants to experience the natural beauty of the trail at their own pace.
All Skill Levels Welcome: The trails gentle terrain is suitable for both beginners and experienced cyclists.
Safety First: All participants under 18 must have a signed waiver from a parent or guardian. Helmets are required for all riders.
Support: Volunteers will be stationed at key points along the route to provide directions, basic first aid, and encouragement.
Refreshments: Water and light snacks will be available at designated rest stops. Please bring your own reusable water bottle as this is a cup-less event.

Parking: Parking is available at Independence Grove. Nonresidents of lake county may be subject to entrance fee.
Weather Policy: The event will proceed rain or shine. In case of severe weather or trail flooding, an alternate route will be provided.
What to Bring: Bike in good working order, helmet, water bottle, sunscreen, and a signed waiver if under 18.
