Dua Workshop on Saturday

Jumuah Mubarak to our dear brothers and sisters.

Many of us commenced Ramadan with fervent zeal, striving to immerse ourselves in acts of worship, charity, and righteous deeds, yearning to draw closer to our Creator. Yet, as the days have unfolded, some among us may find ourselves grappling withexhaustion, doubt, and the weight of self-imposed expectations.

But, remember, the path of devotion was never meant to be free of struggle especially during Ramadan when we are faced against disclipining our nafs (self-ego). This is a path of trials and tribulations, a journey of peaks and valleys designed to test our resilience. Every momentwhether easy or difficultis a step on thejourney back to Him.

It's natural to feel like we should be doing more, but we must not let it drown us in despair.

It's not about the quantity of our deeds but their quality. Sincerity and consistency matter most. Even if our deeds are few, their steadfastness speaksvolumes.

As the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said,

"The best of deeds are those done regularly, even if they are few."

Sunan Ibn Majah

Ustadh Meurad, in his Ramadan Maximized session, reminds us: 100 La ilaha illAllah said daily outweigh 1,000 said here and there.

Whats one deed you can commit to consistently, with sincere intention, for the rest of this blessed month?

We are also in the middle 10 days of forgiveness. Ramadan affords usthe opportunity to pause and reflect on how to train ourselves to leave off sins and bad habits, but repentance must be a constant companion throughout these days and nights. So do plenty of istighfar (seeking forgiveness) from the One who loves to forgive.

Ex. Astaghfirullah - I seek forgiveness in God.

Say, O Prophet, that Allah says, O My servants who have exceeded the limits against their souls! Do not lose hope in Allahs mercy, for Allah certainly forgives all sins.1 He is indeed the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Quran 39:53

Allah is notlooking for perfectionHe is looking for hearts that turn back to Him. See how He calls us_My servants_not sinners, not lost souls despite our many shortcomings. His mercy is not distant; it is waiting.

So brush away the whispers of doubt and turn with renewed hope to the One whose mercy knows no bounds. Check out Dr. Ashfaq's workshop on making ordinary things we do turn into an act of worship on Youtube.
