ICPB Ramadan 1446 (2025) Announcement: Taraweeh begins Friday night and Ramadan Fasting starts Saturday March 1st, 2025

Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh dear brothers and sisters,

The moon-sighting has been confirmed; therefore, Taraweeh will begin Friday, February 28th, 2025 at ICPB promptly after Ishaa salaah and Ramadan fasting begins Saturday March 1st, 2025. 

In an authentic hadeeth collected by Imam An-Nasaaee, the Messenger of Allaah, , said:

There has come to you Ramadaan, a blessed month, in which Allaah has made it obligatory to fast. During it the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hellfire are closed, and the rebellious devils are chained. In it is a night (Laylatul-Qadr) which is better than a thousand months. He who is deprived of its good has truly been deprived. (Reference: Saheeh An-Nasaaee)
