Message From Iman
Dear Community members
Peace, blessings and mercy of Allah be upon you
Shortly, were going to face,
Hurricane Helene
State of emergency has been officially declared in our Florida state
My humble request from all the community members,
please try to stay safe at your homes/ shelters
Do not go out unless its necessarily required
On such occasions, while heavily raining, wind storms, hurricanes.etc Which could cause harm, damage or life endangerment, the teachings of Prophet Muhammad in such dire times are clear :
Athaan callers (moazzin) used to be instructed to say :
Pray at your homes
" / "
Instead of
(come for prayer)
(Ref: Sahih Al Bukhari)
Dua of Prophet
during hurricane, rain storms, tornadoes :
Sayyidh Ayesha RA said,
When the heavy winds used to blow,
Prophet used to pray with the following:
Transliteration:
Allaahumma 'innee 'as'aluka khayrahaa, wa khayra maa feehaa, wa khayra maa 'ursilat bihi wa a'oothu bika min sharrihaa, wa sharri maa feehaa, wa sharri maa 'ursilat bihi
Translation:
O Allah, I ask You for the good of it, for the good of what it contains, and for the good of what is sent with it. I seek refuge in You from the harm of it, from the harm of what it contains, and from the harm that is sent with it.
(Sahih Muslim 2/616, Al-Bukhari 4/76)
