The reality of this world is that we will face different challenges. Sometimes, our hearts will feel pain, and our minds will have different thoughts. These will cause us to be worried and sad. This is going to happen, and this is part of the Qadr of Allah and the reality of this dunya, but Alhamdulilah, part of us being Muslim is that Allah has provided us with guidance and means that if we follow them and abide by them, Allah will make our sorrows, worries, and stress be sources of blessings and make them means of us coming closer to each other and closer to Him. The further reading link has a beautiful dua that will help us deal with the worries, stresses, and other struggles we face in life. May Allah turn the stressors we have into blessings and means of happiness and joy for us in this dunya and the aakhirah.
Hadeeth of the Day
Ibn Mas'ud reported God's messenger as saying that if anyone is afflicted by much care he should say, O God, I am Thy servant, the son of Thy servant, the son of Thy handmaid, and at Thy disposal; my forelock is in Thy hand; Thy judgment is effective regarding me; just concerning me is Thy decree; I ask Thee by every name Thou hast by which Thou hast called Thyself, or sent down in Thy Book, or taught any of Thy creatures, or kept to Thyself in the hidden place of the unseen, to make the Qur'an the Spring of my heart and the means of clearing away my care and grief. He declared that no one had ever said it without God removing his grief and giving him joy instead of it.Mishkah

As-Salamu Alaykum Dear ICN Community
We pray this message finds you and your families healthy and happy. Ameen!
Please keep all ICN families, and especially our brothers, sisters, and children in Gaza, Lebanon, and other less fortunate Muslim countries in your prayers, Insha'Allah.
We wanted to take this opportunity to give you an update on a few items.
An-Noor Project Update and Grand Opening
As you know, the latest Grand Opening date of October 26th has been postponed and a new date was not provided. Many community members have asked why the Grand Opening was postponed, what happened, and when will we be in the new Masjid.
Unfortunately, things happen during construction. In our case, we ran into multiple issues. The main issues were with items like tile, carpet, speciality painting, chandelier certifications, and associated installation delays. The tile and prayer hall carpet installations are being delayed due to manufacturing, delivery, and general installation delays. The speciality painter is on a previously scheduled vacation at an inopportune time for our project, and the City of Naperville is asking for additional structural and electrical certifications of our custom chandeliers for the Lobby Dome and Men's Prayer Hall chandeliers. Without the certifications, they cannot be installed.
The reason we have not provided a new date is we need to have the results of the inspections and certifications, and get results, before we can update the construction schedule.
The delay in installation of tile is also impacts washroom completion.
As you can see, the items noted about are final construction items. Alhamdulillah, we are close, very close! Insha'Allah with your continued prayers and support, we will complete the items noted above very soon, obtain our occupancy permit, and move into our new Masjid.
I know everyone wants to hear a date think end of November for now (until further notice).
May Allah help us complete this project without any additional challenges and give barakah in our time and efforts, and reward everyone for their support. Ameen!
75th Masjid Update We are almost complete with the installation of new windows in the Masjid Men's Prayer Hall and shoe rack areas. The new windows look beautiful, Alhamdulillah. We are in the process of looking at some Islamic architecture grilles and window tinting for beautification and safety/security. Alhamdulillah one of our generous community members has paid for the entire window installation project. May Allah reward him and his entire family Ameen!
Annual Fundraising Dinner Please mark your calendars for our annual ICN Fundraising Dinner on Friday, December 6th at Shalimar Banquets. As always, the event will be spectacular with great presentations and our very own Sh. Rizwan and Sh. Hedroug as our keynote speakers, Insha'Allah.

ICNY is excited to announce our 1439 Quran Circle coming soon under the guidance of Shaykh Dr. Rizwan Ali!
We are seeking volunteers to teach Quran. Teachers will lead sessions for different levels, including learning how to read, recite, and memorize, while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. We are looking for candidates with strong Quranic knowledge, excellent communication skills, and preferably teaching experience.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the spiritual growth of college students and young professionals while gaining valuable teaching experience.

We wanted to share some important news regarding the eagerly anticipated grand opening of Masjid An-Noor.
During the final stages of construction, we have encountered some unexpected delays. Some key items that are essential to the space were delivered incorrectly. While we are working diligently to receive the correct items, these are critical components, and their replacement has affected other dependent parts of the project. As a result, the timeline has been delayed.
Given these dependencies, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the grand opening. We know how much this new masjid means to the entire community, and we share in your disappointment. However, we are committed to ensuring that the masjid is fully prepared and ready for the five daily salahs before we open.
We ask for your understanding and patience as we work through these challenges. Please know that we will keep you updated and will communicate the new opening date as soon as everything is back on track.

ICN 248th Masjid An-Noor August Update
Alhamdulillah, we made tremendous progress in August. The walls have been painted, the floor tiles are being installed on the second floor, and the drop ceiling has been installed in several areas of the building.
September will be pivotal as we anticipate the arrival of the chandelier and the musallah carpet, bringing us closer to the finish line, InshAllah.

The ICN Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee at the Islamic Center of Naperville proudly announces the continuation of our program to teach the Arabic language to the children of the community. Our goal is to help every student love, understand, speak, read, write, communicate, and enjoy the Arabic language. The Rahmah program will focus on all the students' senses to learn. All communications in class will be in Arabic. We will focus on Islamic studies as well as part of the curriculum and will continue to have optional Qur'an classes during the course of the program. In addition, this year, the Arabic class program is also open for non-Arabic speaking children ages 6-8 years.

We are looking for a dedicated and qualified volunteer to lead this Human Capital Development (HCD) sub-committee. This requires a commitment of 4 to 6 hours per week on an ongoing basis.
