The ayah and hadeeth for the week warn us against calling on Allah only in times of need and adversity. Many people call upon Allah only when they need something. The believer makes dua to Allah, thanking Him, praising Him, glorifying Him, and acknowledging His blessings and favors upon us. We pray to Allah that He gives us the ability to remember Him in times of adversity and prosperity.
Hadeeth of the Day
Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. Recognize and acknowledge Allah in times of ease and prosperity, and He will remember you in times of adversity. And know that what has passed you by [and you have failed to attain] was not going to befall you, and what has befallen you was not going to pass you by. And know that victory comes with patience, relief with affliction, and hardship with ease.

Please keep all ICN families, and especially our brothers, sisters, and children in Gaza, and other less fortunate Muslim countries in your prayers, Insha'Allah.
Alhamdulillah, we have a lot of important updates for you regarding multiple topics:
ICN Noor Academy Alhamdulillah, the new year has started, with the first full year at our new school building on Bond Street.A huge thank you to Principal Haleema and her staff, the Education Committee, the Education Council, many volunteers, and others that made this so successful. We have a lot of new students and teachers this year. Please help me welcome all the new and returning students and staff this school year. (No more trailers, no more school classes split between Ogden and 75th facilities - Alhamdulillah.) May Allah make it a successful year for our students and staff. Ameen!
Masjid An-Noor Construction Update Alhamdulillah, we are very close to the completion of the project with Allah's blessings and your support.The Board, Engineering Committee, and the Fundraising Committee are working hard to bring the project to completion very soon. We currently anticipate construction completion and obtaining our occupancy permit near the end of October. We are planning a Grand Opening Celebration on October 26th please save the date and watch for more information to be provided soon. We are conducting weekly site visits for community members on Sunday mornings between 8-10am. I'm sure you've noticed, we are taking any opportunity possible to do fundraising after Jummah prayers and doing community events such as the ICN Pancake Breakfast (hosted by the ICN Girl Scouts and Women's Committee), the Volleyball Tournament (hosted by the Sports Committee) and other activities to raise funds to complete the project and pay for all the associated costs. May Allah help us complete this project without any challenges and give barakah in our time and efforts, and reward everyone for their support.Ameen!
Annual Fundraising Dinner Please mark your calendars for our annual ICN Fundraising Dinner on November 23rd at Shalimar Banquets. As always, the event will be spectacular with great presentations and Imam Siraj Wahaj as our keynote speaker, Insha'Allah.
Quran Institute and 1439 Update We are also launching a new Quran Institute, expertly supervised by Shaykh Rizwan and Shaykh Omar, which will provide valuable opportunities for deepening our understanding and appreciation of the Quran for all ages.In addition, our youth programming, 1439, is being elevated under the leadership of Sr. Zakiya Ahmed, who is bringing fresh ideas and engaging activities to inspire our youth. We look forward to your participation in these enriching programs!
Masjid Facilities Updates There are always new projects at our Masjid facilities. We recently repaved a portion of the Ogden parking lot that had extensive potholes and deterioration. Our next project is going to be Men's Prayer Hall window replacements at our 75th Street Masjid. Alhamdulillah one of our generous community members has committed to paying for the entire project. May Allah reward him and his entire family Ameen!

ICNY is excited to announce our 1439 Quran Circle coming soon under the guidance of Shaykh Dr. Rizwan Ali!
We are seeking volunteers to teach Quran. Teachers will lead sessions for different levels, including learning how to read, recite, and memorize, while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. We are looking for candidates with strong Quranic knowledge, excellent communication skills, and preferably teaching experience.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the spiritual growth of college students and young professionals while gaining valuable teaching experience.

Enroll in our dynamic 8-week Coding and Robotics Workshop tailored for children aged 7-13! This interactive program offers a hands-on experience where students delve into fundamental coding principles such as loops, variables, and functions through engaging block coding exercises suitable for all proficiency levels. While younger participants focus on foundational concepts, older students tackle more advanced topics.
In addition to coding, our workshop introduces the realm of robotics, guiding students in constructing and programming robots using gears and sensors. Drawing parallels between human physiology and robotics, we emphasize similarities in sensory perception, cognitive functions, and motor skills.
Furthermore, students will have the opportunity to merge hardware components like micro:bit and Makey Makey with software to craft innovative projects.
Our workshop fosters creativity and critical thinking, equipping the next generation for a promising digital era.

ICN's Qur'an Institute's Qur'an classes program has been expanded to include elementary grades KG - 5th in addition to 6-8 Grades & 9-12 Grades boys and girls . The program is led by Shaykh Akram Abeidi under the supervision of our shuyooks Shaykh Rizwan Ali and Shaykh Omar Hedroug. During the course of this program, the kids will learn how to read Qur'an, improve their recitation and memorization of the Qur'an with understanding. In sha Allah this will be coupled with Islamic Studies and fun activities.

The ICN Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee at the Islamic Center of Naperville proudly announces the continuation of our program to teach the Arabic language to the children of the community. Our goal is to help every student love, understand, speak, read, write, communicate, and enjoy the Arabic language. The Rahmah program will focus on all the students' senses to learn. All communications in class will be in Arabic. We will focus on Islamic studies as well as part of the curriculum and will continue to have optional Qur'an classes during the course of the program. In addition, this year, the Arabic class program is also open for non-Arabic speaking children ages 6-8 years.

We are looking for a dedicated and qualified volunteer to lead this Human Capital Development (HCD) sub-committee. This requires a commitment of 4 to 6 hours per week on an ongoing basis.
