Announcement
- ICM Cares Clinic is proud to announce that 10 of our volunteers are moving on after their dedicated service to the clinic:
- Two volunteers who are overseas medical graduates have been accepted in the medical residency programs at the University of Maryland and the University of Buffalo
- Three volunteers have obtained scholarships to study for a seven-year MD/PHD program at the University of Maryland, Houston, and Minnesota.
- Four of the volunteers have been admitted to the medical schools of elite universities
- The youngest volunteer has been admitted to UMBC to study Microbiology
- Four of these volunteers are former ICM Sunday School graduates
- ICM Cares Clinic has been approved as one of the 12 Montgomery County Clinics. This will enable to provide more services to its patients, including referral to specialist physicians and cheaper imaging and blood testing, effective July 1, 2025
- ICM Cares Clinic will offer behavioral health and mental health services, including counselling in-house. A certified licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) will be at the clinic for confidential and private consultation every Tuesday starting July 8, 2025.
- ICM Cares is looking for a volunteer who can work part-time as a patient navigator. The person must be computer literate, have good interpersonal skills, and be able to work with Montgomery County Organizations to help the patients navigate the healthcare system. This is a very rewarding job. This person will help contribute to ICM Cares Clinic's success and enhance patient satisfaction. If interested, please email [email protected] ASAP. - ICM Cares Clinic is looking for volunteer university graduates or seniors who can make long-term commitments for six months to a year to be trained as medical assistants to replace the 10 who are leaving to pursue higher education and training. Please email [email protected]. No short-term positions available.
- Experienced and community volunteer pediatricians are available at ICM Cares Clinic on Sundays between 10:00 to 1:00 PM to baby wellness checks and sick visits.
