ICEB - Special General Body Meeting Rescheduled to October 6th
Following requests from some members of the community for more time to review the proposed amendments, the Shura has decided to reschedule the Special General Body Meeting that was initially planned for Sunday, September 15, 2024. The new meeting date is Sunday, October 6, 2024, tentatively scheduled to take place after Dhuhr prayers, Insha'Allah.
This meeting, called by the Shura under Section 04.04.04(b) of the Bylaws, will focus on the following important matters:
- Discussion and voting on a resolution concerning the purchase and utilization of the residential property next to ICEB.
- Discussion and ratification of proposed amendments to the Bylaws, which have received the signatures of one-fourth of the current members of the ICEB General Assembly (with dues paid for 2024, as of September 2, 2024), as stipulated in Article VI of the Bylaws.
Applications for new membership will now be accepted until 11:59 PM EDT on September 29, 2024. Members who apply before this deadline will be eligible to attend and vote in the meeting. Former members with unpaid dues can still renew their membership for 2024 and participate in the meeting if dues are paid before the start of the meeting.

Zoom Information Session:
To ensure all members have an opportunity to review and discuss the proposed amendments, the Shura is planning a Zoom information session for active members, where the amendments will be presented along with a rationale for each. This session will provide a space for discussion and questions. We expect to share details of the Zoom session with current active members within the next week.
- A recording will also be made available to those members unable to attend the live session.
- The amendments and a written rationale will be shared with the members in the same email that will include the Zoom link for the session.
