It's simple. We need each other.

Home is where the He(art) is + Wafaa's story

Dear community,

As Salaamu Alaikum,

In these middle days of Ramadan, a time of reflection, prayer, and community, may Allah facilitate your efforts to increase in nearness to Him . Our theme this Ramadan, "Home is where the He(art) is," invites us to ponder the profound connections between art, our Islamic faith, and our sense of community.

The Ibrahim Center has been a beacon of light for 12 years, growing notably in the last two, with an increase of 30% in our community's size. This growth is a testament to our collective resilience and the welcoming spirit that defines us. In the face of challenges, including the heartbreaking genocide in Gaza, our community has responded with incredible faith and openness, welcoming more new Muslims through Shahada in the last five months than in the previous two years. This surge of interest in Islam, inspired by the indomitable spirit of the Palestinian people, reminds us of the power of unwavering faith and the importance of a supportive community.

In this moment of growth and reflection, we ask you to envision the future of Islam in America. What kind of community do we want to build? How can we ensure that the Ibrahim Center continues to be a welcoming haven for all, where the arts and Islamic teachings intersect to create a vibrant, inclusive community?

Your generous support will enable us to expand our programs and outreach and make an impact together.

We also invite you to watch a heartfelt message from our beloved community member, Wafaa, who shares her story and the Ibrahim Center's impact on her and her family.

Your contribution will support our growth and help us answer critical questions about our identity and presence as Muslims in America. We kindly ask for your support in our Ramadan fundraiser, enabling us to continue creating a space where Islam's beauty and peace resonate with every heart.

May this Ramadan bring you and your loved ones peace, joy, and prosperity. Thank you for being a valued part of our community and considering our appeal.

With gratitude and prayers,
Ibrahim Center team.
