Brothers and Sisters:

Assalamu Alaikum,

The Islamic American Society of Connecticut (IASC)/Masjid Al-Mustafa is pleased to announce that it has amicably resolved the dispute and lawsuit against the Waterbury Islamic Cultural Center (WICC) and wish WICC the best of luck in its future endeavors. We strongly believe that we have effectively and permanently managed to protect Masjid Al-Mustafa, a magnificent house of Allah, from similar Fitnah (human-made tribulations), not only in the immediate future, but also in the distant future inshaAllah.

The attached Settlement Agreement and Stipulated Judgment (item #3) was enforced by the court just one day before Ramadan started, but we did not want to share it back then lest to distract you while focusing on the holy month and eventually Eid.

In order to eliminate any confusion or speculation and for the purpose of full transparency regarding the final outcome of the 6-year legal battle, we would like to share with you these historic documents exactly as they are being posted by the CT Superior Court. Here they are:

1-   IASC Motion To Summarily Enforce Settlement and Enter Judgment (submitted to the court on 12-31-2024 and was granted by the Court on 2-27-2025 before trial commenced).

2-   Court order granting the IASC Motion To Summarily Enforce Settlement and Enter Judgment by Stipulation (N.B. IASC had withdrawn its included request for an award of fees and cost and its request for an order that the 2 individuals who refused to sign the documents place their signatures on the agreement since, in effect, the court will be enforcing the agreement against all of WICC parties including those who signed and those who did not sign).

3-   Settlement Agreement and Stipulated Judgment (This is the final mutually abiding document which is being enforced by the court now and in the future insha Allah; if needed).

4-   Court order denying the WICC Motion To Seal Document  (This was denied by the court on 2-27-2025 so this is public record accessible by anyone).

Jazakum Allah kheir.
