Mahmood Alvi: I moved to Dallas from Maryland a year ago. I was involved with the Islamic Society of Baltimore. I am retired from the State of Maryland. Since my wife and I moved to Dallas, we have been actively involved in the community. I am excited to help out in our community to strengthen and improve.
Syed Bukhari: I am a telecommunications professional, who has been living and working in DFW area for the past 8 years. I currently live in Flower Mound with my family and 2 young kids who are part of the IALFM Sunday School. Previously, I have served as a volunteer for VRIC and LCIC in the Irving area and Alhamdulillah very grateful for the opportunity to serve this community and would like to focus on our youth and making sure they understand the importance of coming to and spending time in the masjid and also are provided a welcoming environment! I also believe in hands-on learning opportunities for the youth and adults alike which can be curated with Salah and Adhan workshops under the supervision of our esteemed Imam and the Education Director. Additionally, I highly recommend having a IALFM mobile app for community members to check salah times and other community engagement programs offered by the masjid. Lastly, we are less than 90 days away from the holy month of Ramadan and would like to seek engagement opportunities from the current board members so we can better serve our community in that blessed month. Jazak Allah Khair and thank you again for this opportunity!
