[HIC] High School Graduates/MIST Celebration

Assalamualaikum Dear Community Members,

Inshallah, we will be having a special community potluck on May 10, Friday to celebrate our community's high school graduates and MIST winners; there will be NO potluck the first weekend of May. For our graduating seniors, please send us an email with the student'sname,current high school, and if possible, the college they plan to attend.You can also text this information to Sr. Hibah Setayesh at (256) 652 7615. We'd like to acknowledge their hard work and success and look forward to the many wonderful things they will do in the future inshAllah!

Also, as many of you are aware, HIC youth recently took part in the Muslim Interscholastic Tournament (MIST) in Nashville. Alhamdulillah, they brought home numerous awards inmany different categories including film, science fair, business venture, etc. Moreover, the youth also won two awesome team awards - Overall Fellowship and Top Overall Group! One of our youth - RandShikhtholth - also won Best Overall Contestant (from among more than 400 participants)!

None of this would have been possible without our amazing coaches: Ridaa Fatima, Sarah Hakim, Mohamed Eltom, and Hamad Muhammad! Additionally, a huge thank you to our parent volunteers: Talal Kayali, Ahmed Elsotouhy, Sammy Zaitar, and Waseem Quadri! Alhamdulillah for every one of them!
