[HIC] HIC Elections 2024 - Candidates List

As Salaamu Alaikum Dear Community Members,

Yesterday (Oct. 15th) was the deadline to submit candidatenominations, resolutions, and/or amendments to the bylaws for the upcoming annual General Assembly and Board Elections.

HIC has receivednominationsfor the following positions:

President

• Br. Omer Iqbal (nominated by Br. Mohammed Miran)

Treasurer

• Br. Mahbub Hassan (nominated by Br. Amin Sarkar)

Secretary of Social Affairs

• Sr. Hibah Setayesh (nominated by Sr. Maisoun Zaza)

Secretary of Masjid Affairs

• Br. Anas Al Robai (nominated by Br. Basel Al Tobih)

Floornominationswill take place for all positions.

Proposedresolutions and amendments to the bylaws that have been submitted will also be sent out after review.

Please notethat HIC elections will take place on Nov 2nd (Saturday),to coincide with the monthly potluck. Keep in mind that this year we will be implementing e-voting and there are absolutely no provisions for proxy voting; therefore, please make sure to fill out this form:https://forms.gle/97yNsX1NdJNK9jG3A

As we get closer to the date, additional information will also be sent out on the upcoming candidates meeting and the election day agenda.
