We are excited to share updates on recent events and new programs at MCC, all made possible through your continued support and donations.
Heres a look at what weve accomplished together in September:
Your Donations at Work
- Taco Social & High School Youth Committee Formation: In September, we hosted a Taco Social to kick off the formation of our new High School Youth Committee, bringing together over 40 students in a fun and relaxed environment.
- Weekly High School Boys Halaqa: We successfully launched a weekly Halaqa program for high school boys led by Brother Quran Hodge, focusing on spiritual growth and physical activity (another happening for middle school boys).
- Body Washing & Shrouding Workshop: Our community participated in a hands-on workshop teaching the Islamic practices of body washing and shrouding, providing invaluable knowledge on the end-of-life process in Islam.
- East Bay Annual Mawlid: We were honored to host the Annual Mawlid celebration, with over 700 people in attendance! It was a beautiful gathering filled with love for the Prophet Muhammad .
- The Splendor of Islamic Calligraphy - Master Calligrapher Haji Noor Deen: We hosted a captivating workshop on September 20th with world-renowned calligrapher Haji Noor Deen. Attendees had the unique opportunity to learn the art of transforming the written word into beautiful, artistic calligraphy.
