In this blessed month, you have many incredible organizations to support. MCC is your local masjid making a strong regional impact in the Bay Area.
With our community's incredible generosity, we take our role seriously to foster spiritual growth, support our needy neighbors, and strengthen shared connections.
This Ramadan, we invite you to help us meet our fundraising goals:
- $400,000 for MCC Operations Expanding youth engagement, womens programs, increasing community programming, and ensuring we care for our staff and facilities.
- $15,000 for Convert Care Strengthening programming and mentorship for new Muslims.
- Endless Funds Needed for Zakat Financial assistance is more significant than ever. We do not reallocate your Zakat outside the Bay Area. Your Zakat stays local, helping our deserving sisters and brothers where we live.
Strengthening MCCs Operations
Your support allows us to continue to grow & improve our programs, services, and facilities:
- Increasing Programming for the Community Expanding educational, social, and wellness initiatives that serve all ages and demographics within our community.
- Youth Engagement Expansion Launching middle and high school boys halaqas, a High School Youth Committee, and the Futuwa Program, which integrates hands-on skills like car maintenance with Islamic values.
- Womens Programs & Wellness Strengthening partnerships with the Rahma Foundation to offer self-defense classes, Pilates, a Ladies' Mawlid, and ongoing halaqas for spiritual and social connection.
- Taking Care of Our Staff & Facilities Ensuring our dedicated staff can continue serving the community effectively and that our masjid remains a welcoming, well-maintained space for all.
Empowering New Muslims
MCC is committed to ensuring that new Muslims feel supported and connected in their journey:
- Increased Programming for the New Muslim Cohort Providing regular opportunities for learning and community building.
- Monthly Quran for Converts with Sidi Afraz Khan.
- Monthly Convert Brunch will foster connection and mentorship.
- Convert Unity Eid BBQ, bringing together new Muslims in a welcoming and celebratory environment.
Your Zakat in Action Since Last Ramadan
With more families seeking assistance, your Zakat contributions are making a life-changing impact:
- Car Program 150 vehicles provided to deserving families
- Rent & Utility Assistance 1200 applications processed
- Refugee Support Hosting five refugee bazaars (including a pre-Ramadan one) and partnering with SRVIC for apartment setups.
- Food Pantry Serving 350 Muslim families monthly with halal meat and 150 non-Muslim neighbors weekly through our ACCFB partnership.
- Domestic Violence Support MCC now has three certified DV counselors and is helping single mothers and DV survivors with career training, rental assistance, and vehicles to gain financial independence.
- Mental Health Services Partnering with Maristan to provide zakat-eligible families access to critical mental health support.
