Shaykh Ishack Samoura is the Imam at Rayyan Center and the President of Darul Wahi school in Detroit. A respected leader in Southeast Michigan’s Muslim community, he was born and raised in Mali. Shaykh Ishack memorized the Quran early in life and holds a Bachelor’s in Noble Quran and Islamic Studies from the Islamic University of Madina, along with an advanced degree in Islamic Theology and ijazah in the ten qira’aat. He also completed a Master’s in Social Justice and is pursuing a PhD in Islamic Studies.
Imam Riduan Rafique serves as our Director of Development at Darul Wahi . He was born and raised in Detroit MI where he memorized the Quran at a young age and later studied under notable scholars while finishing a BA in Information Systems from Wayne State University. He recently studied classical Arabic/Tajweed in Egypt and is currently finishing an MA in Islamic Studies from Bayan Islamic Graduate School with a concentration in Islamic Education/Leadership. Previously he served as a Religious Director for ICR (Texas) & Assistant Imam for WPO (MI). He has also served Metro-Detroit community as a regional youth director, Inspiring Khatib, and a teacher of Quranic science for many years.
