Together, We Build: A Call for Unity, Commitment and Generosity
Dear Respected Community Members,
We greet you with peace, prayers, and gratitude, and we trust this letter finds you and your families in good health and high spirits. Today, we reach out to you with a profound sense of hope and purpose, seeking your partnership in a noble venture that will benefit not only our generation, but also those to come the fundraising effort for our beloved Islamic Life Center (ILC).
ILC is far more than bricks and mortar or a beautiful prayer hall. It will have classrooms for Islamic education, a multipurpose gymnasium for community events and youth sports. It will be the beating heart of our community; a spiritual sanctuary where children take their first steps in faith, elders find solace, and families gather for guidance and shared joy. It is where we will unite in prayer, comfort the grieving, extend our hands to the needy, and celebrate milestones together. A foundation for interfaith initiatives, a welcoming place for Carmel and surrounding communities to witness our faith and joining us in making these communities better place for all. In our rapidly changing world, its significance is more vital than ever.
Our vision is a center that instills a sense of belonging and stands as a testament to unity and service. A space filled with light, compassion, and opportunity.The journey toward realizing this vision is one that requires collective effort and sacrifice. While we have made considerable progress this year, the financial resources required to keep momentum and reach completion in a year are substantial.
Our community has always risen to the occasion when called upon. As the summer sun basks us in its warmth, it is equally heartwarming to share with you that in response to progress already made hitherto this summer, some community members have already reached out and made individual pledges of $50,000-100,000 to a total of $300,000 in just last few days. In addition, approximately $200,000 out of outstanding pledges of $800,000 will be paid prior to the intended initial commitment. This is just the beginning, and we continue to receive new pledges and commitments almost every day,!!
We share these numbers with you not only to share the generosity of our beloved community but with hope that this will instill confidence in you all about the project being back on track and passed beyond the challenges we have faced, especially in the last one year.
This endeavor is not possible without you. At this junction, we invite you to be part of this historic journey and make every intention and effort to attend the ILC event on September 6th, 2025. No contribution is too small, and every gesture of support brings us closer to our goal. Your involvement is both needed and deeply valued. Together we can reach our target of raising $4.5 million in one year,
We are committed to transparency and ensuring that every contribution is used wisely and effectively. Regular updates on fundraising progress, expenditures, and project milestones are and will be shared with the community. Your Board members are available to answer any questions and provide detailed reports upon request.
We pray that Allah (SWT) softens our hearts towards this cause and enables us to work together in harmony and sincerity. With your support, we will build not just a structure, but a legacy of faith and service.
