Health Fair at the Islamic Center | 10 am to 2 pm - Sat Nov 23

We are hosting a Free Health Screening program on Saturday, November 23, from 10am to 2pm at the Islamic Center. We invite you take advantage of this free offering:

• Health Screening by MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine
• Kidney Health awareness and screening by University of Michigan
• Mental Health Screening and Wellbeing Awareness by Bridging Communities
• Vaccinations by Atlas Pharmacy (some vaccines will require insurance) for Flu, pneumonia, RSV and Covid boosters to all eligible ages, kids included.
• Oral Health Education and disease prevention by Lansing Community College
• Lecture on Navigating the Healthcare system as a Muslim Woman by University of Massachusetts, Lowell (1pm to 2 pm) (in-person as well as zoom)
• Blood Drive by American Red Cross (walk-ins welcome but obtain an appointment to eliminate wait time https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/find-drive and enter the code – lansingislam). Consuming iron rich foods such as broccoli in day(s) before donating blood is encouraged. Travel related donation eligibility and restrictions are detailed here. Donors are encouraged to Download the Rapid Pass App and enter information on Sat 11/23 before arriving to donate blood to make check-in process quicker.
• Participate in a study by CMU College of Medicine and earn a cash reward

Fall Bazaar - at the Islamic Center - 10am to 2 pm Saturday, Nov 23

The Women's Committee invites everyone to the Fall Bazaar at the Islamic Center. Entrance if free. Vendors are invited to register a table @$20/table.

Come and support businesses owned by our fellow brothers and sisters.

New Tap to Give donation kiosk at the Islamic Center

We have a new Tap-to-Give kiosk located in the common area of the masjid to make your charitable giving quick and easy.

1. Simply tap your credit card or smartphone/watch over one the three donation amounts displayed.

2. You will hear a little beep confirming the donation.

Touchless. No keys to press.

We will be adding more in coming weeks in other locations within the masjid insha Allah.
