We are excited to announce two transformative learning opportunities offered by Taqwa Seminary's Marifa Program this February. These courses are designed to provide deep insights into our faith while addressing both historical and contemporary topics.
1. FQH 301: Contemporary Legal Issues & Fiqh of Minorities
This weekend seminar with Imam Arsalan Haque addresses pressing contemporary questions relevant to Muslims living in non-Muslim lands. Topics include:
- Residing in non-Muslim lands
- Relationships with non-Muslims
- Marrying non-Muslims
- Observing non-Islamic holidays
- Meat consumption and dietary concerns
- Using astronomical calculations for Ramadan and Eid
- Giving Zakat to non-profits

2. The Story of Mecca: HST 101 - Seerah Until the Hijra
Explore the early life and mission of the Prophet Muhammad in this comprehensive Seerah course with Imam Abdur Rahman Bashir. This course delves into the importance of Seerah, the Prophets lineage, and the struggles he and his followers faced in Mecca until the migration to Medina.
