Voluntary Fasting is strongly recommended on the day of Ashura- 10th day of Muharram. This corresponds to Saturday, July 5th.
We are encouraged to fast on the 9th (Fri Jul 4) as well if possible and if you miss it, on the 11th of Muharram (Sun Jul 6).
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Fasting the day of Ashura , I hope that Allah will accept it as an expiation for (the sins committed in) the previous year"?
REMINDER: Three Jummah Prayers - 12 pm, 1pm and 2 pm
Each Jummah Prayer Service will last 30 minutes, encompassing both the Khutba (sermon) and the prayer.
To ensure a smooth transition between services, we kindly request all attendees to vacate the parking lot within 15 minutes after each Jummah Prayer concludes. This will allow the next group of worshippers to enter safely and prepare for their prayer.
This adjustment has been implemented to ensure sufficient parking availability, a comfortable assembly space, and safe entry and exit for all attendees at the Islamic Center.
We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we
strive to make your experience at our masjid spiritually fulfilling.
We could use your help!
The chart below illustrates the attendance distribution across the three Jummah prayers this past Friday. Nearly half of the attendees chose the 3rd Jummah, while the other half were evenly split between the first two.
To ensure a more balanced attendance across all three Jummahs and achieve the objectives of introducing the 3rd Jummah, we kindly request some attendees of the 3rd Jummah to consider switching to the 1st or 2nd Jummah.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Report on the 5 day March Against Genocide - from Grand Rapids to Lansing
A group of dedicated individuals marching on foot from Grand Rapids to Lansing to raise awareness about the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Their inspiring 70+ mile journey began on June 26, making stops along the way before reaching the Capitol where they rallied and made speeches.
We recognize the profound humanity and courage demonstrated by these remarkable individuals and applaud them for raising close to $15,000 for the children of Gaza.
