Respected Brothers and Sisters,
Our community is blessed to be hosting Shaykh Shakeel Rahman Miah from Boston, MA. Shaykh is the Imam at the Islamic Center of Burlington and is the Principal and Founder of Nur Foundation, an Islamic School for children. He graduated and completed the six year meticulous Alim course studies from the prestigious Darul Quran WasSunnah in New York under the tutelage of well-experienced and senior teachers.
Alongside his religious studies, he also graduated from the City College of New York with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. He also served as an Imam at Masjid Hanfia in Queens, NY for two years at the time. At the end of 2016, he moved to Burlington, MA where he still serves his community and other neighboring communities as an Imam and teacher for nine years. He is also the Supervisor for Halal Monitoring Services in the New England Chapter and is a representative and faculty member in the research department at the Central Hilal Committee of North America. He is also the founder of Sahifah Institute, a platform to inspire and promote Islam to Muslims as well as those interested in learning more about Islam.
Shaykh will be speaking on Islam and Modernism.
