Family Circle - Your School Year Readiness Session!
Join us for a special Family Circle designed to help families prepare for a successful school year. With breakout sessions for every age groupfrom fun readiness activities for preschoolers to leadership and halaqa training for teenseach session is tailored to meet the unique needs of your childs stage. Parents will also benefit from a practical workshop on confident, calm, and consistent parenting. Its a valuable evening of growth, connection, and preparation for the year ahead!
Meet The Guest Speakers
Brother Hamid Munir- A dedicated IT professional and currently serves on the National PTA Family Engagement Committee, as Vice President of Family Engagement for the Virginia State PTA, and as Vice President of Training for the Fairfax County Council PTA. In these roles, he empowers families, strengthens school communities, and champions inclusive opportunities that allow all children to thrive.
**Staff of Quran****Blossom Preschool (Arabic Immersion Program)**one of the only preschool Arabic immersion programs in the areawill look after the preschoolers today, giving Moms and Dads an opportunity to focus on the parenting session. The Blossoms team is well known for their curriculum, which instills compassion and helps children develop a love for the Quran.
Elementary School Session:
Sisters Rana & Mona will bring their creativity, years of education, and experience to todays session. Rana Salama, PhD Student in Computer Science, George Washington University - used to lead the YYT program at MASDC. If your child attended YYT in 2023 or earlier, theyve probably been mesmerized by Sister Ranas way of bringing Tarbiya into crafts, story-time, and similar activities.
Middle School Session:
Brother Ahmed is an experienced math tutor with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Hofstra University. He specializes in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 helping middle and high school students build a strong foundation through clear, step-by-step instruction. He is the owner of Amos E-learning.
Brother Abdelrahman Hamid- If youve been to MASDC during the 2PM Jummah prayers, then youve probably heard him deliver the Khabar. He is an attorney by trade, but a community organizer at heart. He has been an active member of MASDC for over 15 years.
