Fall '24 at the IC will kick off this week inshallah!
Our in-person halaqas, classes, and events are open to everyone (Unless it says Student only). However, all guests must RSVP and non-NYU community members must also submit our Building Access Form to enter the building.
Upon arrival, everyone must present a physical, government-issued photo ID. Digital copies will not be accepted. Thank you!

Imam Nawawis 40 Hadith for Modern Times | Imam Khalid Latif

Join Imam Khalid Latif every Monday for a deep-dive into Imam Nawawi's 40 Hadiths and its application in modern times. This foundational text is well-respected across ideological lines and legal schools and serves as an invaluable guide for Muslims in all aspects of our lives.

Weekly Halaqa w/ Dr. Ali Mermer

Join us with Dr. Mermer In a variety of topics that examine islam and how it is relevant to our current living conditions. Dr. Mermer has been studying the Qur'an to understand its message and apply it to the present day living conditions for half a century and has completed his degrees in Islamic Studies and Political Science and then did a PhD on Sociology of Religion at Durham University, UK.
College Students Only Halaqa + Dinner w/ Imam Khalid Latif

Join us for our weekly Student Halaqa, a welcoming and enriching space for students to come together and deepen their understanding of Islam. Each week, we explore various aspects of faith, spirituality, and personal growth through discussions, reflections on the Qur'an and Sunnah, and sharing life experiences. Open to students of all backgrounds, the halaqa is an opportunity to build a strong sense of community, ask questions, and nurture your spiritual journey in a supportive environment.

Seerah Studies: The Meccan Years w/ Imam Khalid Latif

Join Imam Khalid Latif every Wednesday for this two-part series as he explores the incredible life of Prophet Muhammad () and draws valuable lessons from it for Muslims in modern times. We'll also learn how our understanding of God and His Attributes and Islamic law evolved from revelation and the day-to-day experiences of the early Muslim community.

Allah has ordained Friday (Jumu'ah) as a blessed day of gathering and reflection for us, the 'ummah of Muhammad , so come and spend this special day with your brothers and sisters here at the IC. All are welcome!

Join Yousra and Reham every Friday at 3:30 pm for our Womens Halaqa as we learn more about the female companions of the Prophet who shaped much of our religions history with their faith, warmth, creativity, leadership, and diversity: Khadijah, Um Habiba, Sumaiyah, and so many more (may Allah be pleased with them all).

Asalamu alaykum parents! Our Parent and Me Toddler class is every other friday (after Jumuah). Please join us for toddler-friendly dhikr, songs, crafts, story time, and more! If you cant make it to this one, no worries as we host one every other Friday as well, so be on the lookout for our email newsletter!
