Executive Committee Elections - Update!

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
 
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatahu,
 
The Board of Trustees of Islamic Center of South Jersey has not received any additional nominations for the Executive Committee elections. A few names below have been modified vs prior communications. In accordance with the constitution and the previous email, the elections for Executive Committee of the Islamic Center of South Jersey will Inshallah be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 (date changed from Jan 26), at 1:30 pm during the General Body meeting. All fully-paid members are requested to attend the meeting and be part of these proceedings. These elections will be conducted by the Board of Trustees.
 
A simple majority vote of at least 25% of the fully-paid members will decide the election, as subject to the quorum requirements of Article VI, para 5 of the constitution. Both the fully-paid member proposing the nomination(s) and the nominee must attend the election proceedings in order to be considered in the process of election. No individual shall be elected in absentia. This requirement may be waived in emergencies and special circumstances, as approved by the BOT. In the case of a tie for any position, a re-vote shall be taken by the members present.
