Exciting News! Welcoming Dr. Eaman Attia, New MAS DFW Tarbiya Director
Assalamu Alaikum MAS DFW Stakeholders,
We are excited to announce that Dr. Eaman Attia has officially joined us as the MAS DFW Tarbiya Director, starting today. Dr. Eaman brings extensive experience, serving as the MAS National Tarbiya Director and as a member of her local MAS Dallas Leadership Team. She has worked with many communities as an inspirational speaker, youth director, mentor, and Tarbiya director, and her leadership will be instrumental in growing our programs.
Her primary focus will be to enhance and expand our Tarbiya Servant Leadership initiatives across the DFW metroplex. With her guidance, we aim to develop a comprehensive and synergized Tarbiya strategy to enrich our offerings, ensuring that every segment of our community has the space to thrive.
Since my arrival on July 1st, I’ve emphasized that MAS—the center, the organization, and the Movement (دعوة و إصلاح)—is yours. You are Active Owners, not passive participants, and we, as the staff, are here to support you in realizing this mission.
By building on هم, همة و مهمة (Pain, Purpose, and Plan), we will continue to cultivate an environment where our community can thrive through meaningful, impactful Tarbiya programs.
Moving forward, under Dr. Eaman’s leadership, we will focus on the following:
1. Prioritizing Tarbiya to Enrich and Expand Offerings Across the DFW Metroplex
• We will create distinct Tarbiya programs that cater to college campuses, high schools, and community centers. Each of these spaces will be equipped with tailored educational content, leadership training, and mentorship opportunities.
• Increase participation in college and high school Tarbiya programs, and establish Tarbiya circles in community centers and spaces.
• By leveraging our existing network of leaders, mentors, and volunteers, we will build programs that are adaptable and easily scalable to meet the demands of each space.
• We will collaborate with student organizations, local educators, and community leaders to ensure that our programs address the unique needs of youth and families, making the offerings relevant and impactful.
2. Expanding Tarbiya Spaces for Growth and Development
• Focus on creating inclusive spaces for youth, families, professionals, and diverse community members to grow and thrive, with dedicated Tarbiya initiatives in each setting.
• Host Tarbiya events (workshops, retreats, and seminars) in community spaces, high schools, and universities, and track participation and feedback for continuous improvement.
• Partner with local institutions, universities, and community centers to use their facilities and resources, ensuring we have the infrastructure to expand these offerings.
•:Develop a volunteer network within each space to support program delivery, mentorship, and community engagement, creating a sustainable model for growth.
• Ensure all major regions of the DFW metroplex have access to regular Tarbiya programming.
3. Developing a Comprehensive Tarbiya Roadmap, Plan, and Execution Strategy
• Create a roadmap that aligns with short-term and long-term objectives, identifying key milestones, resource needs, and timelines for program expansion.
• Ensure the roadmap includes quarterly milestones, tracking the success of new programs, participant engagement, and volunteer involvement.
• Assign dedicated teams to each area of focus (college, high school, and community spaces) to ensure that growth is managed effectively and that each program receives the attention it needs.
• Integrate feedback from community leaders, participants, and staff to continuously refine and adapt the strategy, making it dynamic and responsive to the community’s evolving needs.
• Finalize the 2025 roadmap and beyond by end of Q4 2024, with quarterly review checkpoints to adjust as needed based on progress and community engagement.
4. Defining Clear Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for Tarbiya Strategy
• Establish distinct OKRs for each Tarbiya initiative (college campuses, high schools, and community centers) with clear action items and expected outcomes.
• Track the number of participants, retention rates, and spiritual growth assessments across all programs, with feedback loops built into the system for continuous monitoring.
• Set achievable targets, such as increasing leadership roles within the programs and developing a mentorship system that connects senior leaders with youth.
• Base objectives on the current capacity of our teams and resources, ensuring that each goal is grounded in what can be realistically accomplished within the year.
• Define OKRs for the next 12 months, with quarterly reviews to assess progress and make adjustments.
Her focus will be on enhancing and expanding Tarbiya programs across the DFW metroplex, with special attention to college campuses, high schools, and community spaces, helping everyone in our community thrive.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Eaman Attia to the MAS DFW family. We are confident that, together, we will achieve new heights in serving and uplifting our community.
Thanks and have a great day full of faith and service to others
