ISK Extension Project
Construction Updates & Groundbreaking Ceremony

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

Further to announcements made over the past few weeks regarding the Extension Project, we would like to formally share an update on where things currently stand and what to expect in the coming weeks as we prepare to begin construction, InshaAllah.

Construction is tentatively set to begin in the first week of June, pending a few final details. We will keep you informed with updates via community announcements and Jummah prayers.

We are also pleased to invite you to our Groundbreaking Ceremony on:

Sunday, June 1st at 2:00 PM
Food and refreshments will be provided by ISK.
Please bring your family and join us for this exciting and historic milestone!

Important Information to Keep in Mind:

1 Restricted Area
The construction area will be fenced off, beginning just past the side entrance and extending to the back parking lot. This section will be inaccessible for the duration of the construction, expected to last approximately one year.

2 Reduced Parking Availability
Parking on-site will be significantly limited. To manage this, we will be implementing parking controls and attendants, especially on Fridays during Jummah, to ensure safety, order, and compliance with city by-laws.

3 Transportation & Jummah Options
We are exploring shuttle options from designated carpool locations and will provide updates as plans are finalized. In the meantime, we kindly ask community members to:

• Carpool with friends or family

• Arrive early

• Explore alternative Jummah locations in the city, including:

  Multi-Faith Chapel, 33 Lundys Lane
  Jummah: 1:30 PM

  Crossroads United Church Community Hall
  690 Sir John A. Macdonald Blvd

This coming year will undoubtedly bring some challenges, but its through patience, cooperation, and unity that we will complete this project, InshaAllah.
