Last 10 nights of Ramadan
The last nights of Ramadan are upon us. They began the night of Saturday, March 30 and goes thru the night of Monday, April 8th.
In addition to our regular Ramadan programs at the Masjid,
-
Tahajud Prayers will be held from 3:30 AM - 4:30 AM, followed by Suhur.
-
The schedule for Ia'tikaf will be made available at the Masjid. Anybody planning to perform Ia'tikaf please contact Br Waseem at 651-263-5531 or Br Mustapha at 651-214-2597 to coordinate Ia'tikaf.
Here are few reminders as to what is granted in this night:
1- Laylat AlQadr is in one of these nights. We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the night of Power. And what will explain to thee what the Night of Power is?. (Al-Qadr: 1-2).
2- Blessings and Rewards from Allah (swt) for Muslims s****urpass the blessings of every other night of the year. The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. (Al-Qadr: 3).
3- On this night, a countless number of angels descend with blessings and mercy until dawn. Therein descend the angels and the Ruh [Jibril] by Allah's Permission with all Decrees. (All that night), there is Peace until the appearance of dawn. (Al-Qadr: 4-5).
4- The Prophet (PBUH) Said "Whoever stands (in prayer) in Lailatul-Qadr out of faith and sincerity and seeking reward then his previous sins are forgiven"
How to reap the treasures of Laylat AlQadr:
1- Plan and prepare. Free yourself, be rested, eat light, take time off if possible, and be determined to maximize your benefits in these nights.
2- Increase and diversify acts of worship and good deeds in all ten nights or at least the odd nights. Every good deed from Maghrib to Fajr on Laylat AlQadr is rewarded a minimum of at least 83 years of worship. That is longer than most of us will live!
Examples of acts of worship and good deeds:
- Read the Quran,
- Make Tahajud Prayers,
- Make Ia'tikaf at the Masjid,
- Pay your Zakat Al-Mal, give in charity,
- Provide Iftar or Suhur,
- Volunteer at the Masjid
3- Seek forgiveness. In these nights, constantly say: O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me.
Aisha (RAA) reported: I asked: O Messenger of Allah! If I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it? He (PBUH) replied, You should supplicate: Allahumma innaka afuwwun, tuhibbul-afwa, fafu anni (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me).
May Allah accept from all of us our fasts and prayers
