Masjid Expansion Project Update - Saturday, February 3
Alhamdu Lillah we have made a lot of progress on our Masjid Expansion Project in the last 6 months.
Our accomplishments over the last 6 months include:
- All City and other local Agency approvals
- Detailed Construction Drawings
- Engaging 5 construction companies to send request for bids
- Shariah Financing discussions with bank
- Extensive work on Updates to Bylaws and formation of Trust (Waqf) as part of this project (more details below)
As a reminder the Masjid expansion project includes:
- Adding a Gym/Multi-Purpose hall that can be used for many sporting activities (includes a walking path) and social events/gatherings.

- 4 additional classrooms
- 2 multi-purpose spaces to support different activities
- Parking lot expansion
- Driveway entry/exit to Hudson Rd expansion
In Sha Allah at the upcoming community Potluck on Saturday, February 3rd (see details below) we will provide updates to the community on all aspects of our project. These updates include:
- Final selected construction company
- Project costs
- Shariah Financing updates
- Planned timeline for start and end of the construction project
Additionally, based on our tremendous growth Alhamdu Lillah, and to preserve our assets and to support our Shariah Financing we retained the services of a lawyer specializing in Trust (waqf) and institutional organizing documents (including bylaws) and real estate and financing to review and update our organizational structure and documents.
We will also be presenting the outline of this effort and why it is such a critical part of the next steps for our organization.

In sha Allah, ETCIC will be hosting its next Community Potluck on Saturday, February 3rd from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Please join with your family and bring a dish to share with others and connect with the community.
We will also have bouncy castle for the kids to play in. There will also be a presentation on the Masjid Expansion updates (details above) so please join us to learn more!
