Fajr Iqama: 6:50 AM

Asr Iqama: 6:00 PM

Job Opening 

Hifth Teacher

East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) has a position open for a Hifdh Teacher at its location  4700 14th St, Plano, TX 75074. The potential candidate would join the existing Hifdh  Program to supplement or improve the current program. The candidate must be eligible to work in the United States and meet all the requirements for working at a non-profit organization.

Job Requirements/Tasks

  • The candidate must have memorized the Quran (Hafidh) and be able to listen to Hifdh lessons without looking at the Quran.
  • The candidate must have excellent Tajweed and Qiraa.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of three years teaching experience. Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience.
  • The candidate must be proficient in English, and have good communication skills to be able to communicate effectively within and outside the organization.
  • Candidates with Ijazah will be given preference.
  • The candidate should have experience working with young children (8 years and
  • older).
  • The candidate must have the utmost patience and compassion towards children.
  • The candidate must develop student goals and monitor their academic progress.
  • The candidate must have people skills and be able to interact and serve the
  • growing EPIC community.
  • The candidate must be a team player and work coherently with other staff members, religious scholars, and EPIC management.
  • Have knowledge of cultural and social pressures young muslims face in the west, and be able to empower their Muslim identity.
  • Have knowledge of the field of Hifth including teaching techniques, making progress/recovery regimens, and driving students to their full potential.
  • The candidate must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions, and be able to work efficiently with or without supervision.

Compensation

This is a full time position where the candidate is going to be required to work Monday thru Saturday. The pay rate will be discussed with the candidate during the interview process.
