We are excited to announce that enrollment is now open for the Ibn Abbas Hifdh Academy, where dedicated students can begin their Qur'anic memorization journey under the expert guidance of Hafidh Mubeen Khan. This academy, named after the esteemed companion Abdullah Ibn Abbas ( ), is focused on nurturing a new generation of Huffaz who embody the teachings of Islam and cultivate a deep connection with the Quran.
What is the Ibn Abbas Hifdh Academy?
The Ibn Abbas Hifdh Academy offers a structured and supportive environment for students to memorize the Quran. Our goal is to provide students with the skills and understanding they need to excel in both memorization and applying Qur'anic teachings in their daily lives.
Why the Name Ibn Abbas?
The academy is named after Abdullah Ibn Abbas (RA), a companion of the Prophet Muhammad , known for his vast knowledge of the Quran and commitment to Islamic scholarship. His legacy inspires our students to pursue not just memorization but also a deep understanding of the Quran.
About Our Head Instructor Hafidh Mubeen Khan
Born and raised in the Greater Philadelphia area, Hafidh Mubeen Khan brings over 10 years of teaching experience in Qur'anic memorization. He holds Ijaaza in Hafs for both recitation and teaching, ensuring that students not only memorize but also develop a strong connection with the Quran.
Hafidh Mubeen has co-founded successful Hifdh programs and has been a leader in guiding students to complete their memorization, with many going on to serve as Taraweeh Imams and Hifdh instructors themselves.
Program Phases and Details
Our 4-Week Preparatory Program runs from October 22 to November 19. Students who perform well during this preparatory phase will be selected for the part-time Hifdh class, where they will have the opportunity to memorize the entire Qur'an over a period of approximately 5 years, with the possibility of completing sooner depending on individual progress.
Class Schedule:
- Sundays: 9:00 AM 1:00 PM
- Tuesdays & Thursdays: 5:30 PM 8:30 PM
The 4-Week Prep Program is FREE of charge. Part-time Hifdh will be $150/month
Admission Requirements:
- Boys: 8+ years (no age limit)
- Girls: 8-12 years
- Ability to read Quran fluently with Tajweed
