Enhancements to ISAKs
Religious Programs & Services
Dear ISAK Community,
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
Religious programs and services are essential as they provide a foundation for spiritual growth, community building, preservation and transmission of Islamic traditions and values, and promoting a positive image of Islam within the broader community. ISAK recognizes the significance of continuously developing and refining these offerings to better serve the growing needs of its diverse congregation and enhance the overall spiritual, educational, and social experience for its members. Therefore, we are excited to announce the expansion of our partnership with Miftaah Institute.
ISAK and Miftaah Institute have had a successful two-year collaboration on monthly khutbat, halaqat, and youth programs. We are expanding our cooperation with Miftaah by providing the following:
-
Full-Time Imam Services: Miftaah will provide a qualified imam to lead daily prayers, deliver Jumu'ah khutbat, host halaqat, conduct Islamic classes including tajweed, hifz, and tafsir for both youth and adults, and support the youth program.
-
Monthly Senior Scholar Services: A senior Miftaah scholar will visit ISAK on the last Friday of every month to deliver the Jumu'ah khutbah, conduct youth programs, and host a halaqah.
-
Quarterly Community Events: Miftaah will collaborate with ISAK on four special religious events throughout the year, providing our community with additional opportunities for spiritual growth and learning.
After carefully considering our needs and expectations, Miftaah has assigned Sheikh Zobair Ahmad to provide imam services. Sheikh Zobair comes to us from Albany, NY, where he has gained extensive experience in Dawah, Islamic education, and community leadership.
Sheikh Zobair recently completed his advanced studies at Michigan Islamic Institute(MII) and has also studied at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. With his diverse background in Islamic theology, Quranic studies, and youth engagement, Sheikh Zobair brings a passion for serving and educating the community. Besides being a hafidh, his experience includes leading Taraweeh, delivering Jumu'ah khutbat, and conducting Tafseer sessions at various Islamic centers across the U.S. He also served as a part-time Imam and youth coordinator at Miftaah Institute.
Please extend a warm welcome to Sheikh Zobair to ISAK. You can contact him via email at [email protected].
Jazkumullhu khayran, for your continued support of ISAK!
Sincerely,
Islamic Society of Akron and Kent
