Elections for Executive Committee this Sunday!
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatahu,
This is a friendly reminder that the elections for Executive Committee of the Islamic Center of South Jersey will Inshallah be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 1:30 pm during the General Body meeting. All fully-paid members are requested to attend the meeting and be part of these proceedings. These elections will be conducted by the Board of Trustees. If you cannot make it in person, please use the below Zoom link to join virtually.
A simple majority vote of at least 25% of the fully-paid members will decide the election, as subject to the quorum requirements of Article VI, para 5 of the constitution. Both the fully-paid member proposing the nomination(s) and the nominee must attend the election proceedings in order to be considered in the process of election. No individual shall be elected in absentia. This requirement may be waived in emergencies and special circumstances, as approved by the BOT. In the case of a tie for any position, a re-vote shall be taken by the members present.
