Eid Sunnah and Takbirs
Here are some sunnahs to do for the day of Eid:
- Take a ghusl (purificatory bath)
- Wear your best clothes and adorn yourselfmoderately with perfume
- Eat an odd number of dates before the Eid prayer
- To give much in sadaqa (voluntary charity)
- To leave the Eid prayer from a different direction than you came from
- Smile(this is charity too!) and radiate with happiness when meeting others
Keep your tongue moist with the glorified remembrance of Allah on these blessed days. It is recommended to make the takbir after every fard prayer until Asr on the 13th of Dhul Hijjah, which will be on Monday, June 9.
Youcan refer to this Twitter/X post by Muwasala that has the Eid takbirs in Arabic and in English translation and transliteration for you to recite and fill your day with barakah(goodness).
We ask Allah to accept our good deeds and bless our days of Eid.
