This Eid,‌ we gather with purpose to celebrate,‌ reflect,‌ and stand united with the ummah.‌

Strive for the Cause of Allah

(: 78)

Strive for the cause of Allah in the way He deserves, for it is He Who has chosen you, and laid upon you no hardship in the religion (Al-Hajj-78)

Asalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah dear Brothers and Sisters,

Labayka Allahuma Labayk, Labayka La shareeka laka Labayak. Inna alhamda walnimata laka walmulk, la shareeka lak.

Here we are oh Allah responding to your call, here we are responding, verily you are free of all partners. Verily all praise, blessings and dominion belong to you, you have no partner.

This year, as we approach Eid al-Adha, we are reminded through our theme:

"Strive for the Cause of Allah"

Strive for the cause of Allah in the way He deserves, for it is He who has chosen you... (Al-Hajj: 78)

We are chosen by Allah SWTnot to stand by in ease, but to rise to the challenges of our time. Today, that means standing in unwavering solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Gaza, who have endured relentless hardship with patience, dignity, and unshakable faith.

As we celebrate Eid, let us remember that true sacrifice is not just in ritual, but in commitment to justice, mercy, and unity. Let us make our joy meaningful by acting for those who cannot celebrate in safety.

Here are ways we can strive for the cause of Allah this Eid:

  • Udhiyah/Qurbani: If you have the means to sacrifice more than one udhiyah, please consider doing another in Gaza or Sudan.

  • Make Dua: Pray for peace, relief, and strength for those facing hardship.

  • Donate: Support reputable charities providing humanitarian aid.

  • Advocate: Participate in peaceful demonstrations to support justice and human rights as part of our religious duties.

  • Volunteer: Engage in local activities supporting refugees and marginalized communities.

  • Support Ethical Businesses: Purchase from businesses that contribute to humanitarian causes not those who support wars.

  • Host Educational Events: Organize or attend discussions about global issues.

  • Send Eid Gifts: Send gifts or cards to families in affected regions.

  • Practice Conscious Consumption: Be mindful of waste and support sustainable practices.

Across MAC chapters, youll find Eid events filled with prayer, celebration, and reflection. Join us as we come together with the Ummah, drawing strength from one another and remembering our duty to strive in the way of Allah SWT.

On this blessed occasion, I ask Allah Allah SWT to bless you and your families, to strengthen our community and ummah, and to alleviate the suffering of our brothers and sisters all over the world. May we never tire of striving for what is right, and may Allah SWT accept us among those who answer His call with sincerity.

Eid Mubarak.

Sincerely,

Abdullatif Bakbak, President-Executive
