Say this after the fard prayer

Jumuah Mubarak to our dear brothers and sisters.

There is unparalleled healing for the heart through dhikr. In the remembrance of Allah lies a remedy for the soul, a sanctuary from life's trials, and a path to enduring peace.

Have you ever noticed how the rhythm of dhikrthe gentle movement of your tongue and the heartfelt murmur of your soulcan soothe your heart? Its as if with each repetition, the burdens of the world lighten, and a deep contentment settlesin.

Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, reminds us to:

Keep your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah

Tirmidhi 3375

Imam Al-Ghazali beautifully described dhikr as the nourishment of the soul: just as the bodythrives on sustenance, the heart flourishes through the constant remembrance of its Creator. He explained that one of the greatest causes of spiritual illness is ghaflah (heedlessness), which prevents the soul from engaging with Allah and leads to a lack of awareness of the divine.

Dhikr acts as the antidote to this ailment, awakening the heart to Allahs presence and removing the veil of heedlessness. Through regular practice, dhikr attunes the heart to Allah, healing the spiritual disconnect caused by neglect and drawing the soul closer to its Creator.

Today, take a moment after your fard (obligatory) prayer to adopt the dhikr below. Begin with Astaghfirullah, feel your heart unburdened with each repetition, and let the rest of the words fill your soul with peace.
