masjid plus, can you plan to volunteer with us this winter?
Assalamu Alaikum masjid plus,
We are excited to share the following updates with you this month.
Please join us in welcoming two new members of the Downtown Denver Islamic Center Board of Directors, Hamza Duwaji as Board Treasurer and Yasir Bajwa as Board Secretary. We are excited for their involvement to help DDIC continue to invest in the future of our community.
Additionally, the winter months always bring an increase in the need for food relief. We're honored to help provide nearly 100 individuals and families with free, culturally-responsive food each month, and we rely on our volunteers to help make our program a success. Thank you to our committed group of regular volunteers who join us each and every month. Won't you consider joining us as a volunteer to support our neighbors experiencing hunger? Additional details are below.
Thank you for your support!
The Downtown Denver Islamic Center provides nutritious, culturally responsive food to our immigrant, refugee and low-income neighbors each month, and we need your help!
The winter months always see an increase in the number of people seeking food resources, and our volunteers are critical to ensuring that we can continue to meet this demand.
