A Flight, A Message, A Life Changed

Assalamualaikum Dear Masjid plus,

Brother Sabeel’s journey to a convention took an unexpected turn when a simple interaction on a flight led to a meaningful conversation about Islam.

Seated between a gentleman on his right and a grandmother on his left, Brother Sabeel turned his focus to prayer and the hope of sharing Islam’s message. The man on his right fell asleep immediately, leaving no opportunity for interaction. However, the grandmother on his left intrigued by his faith, began asking questions. This sparked a conversation about Islam, and, as always, Brother Sabeel was prepared, and shared brochures from GainPeace.He handed her one, and as her curiosity grew, she continued reading more. By the end of the flight, she expressed her enthusiasm, mentioning that her son, a pastor, would be interested in the information. She promised to share the brochures with him and stay in touch.

Brother Sabeel’s experience reminds us that dawah opportunities can arise in the most unexpected moments. It also underscores the value of being prepared to share Islam’s message with those seeking answers.
