SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Important Announcement for Jumaa Prayers - August 9, 2024
Dear Community Members, Assalamu Alaikum,
Due to the heavy rain forecasted for tomorrow, August 9, 2024, we will be holding Jumaa Prayers inside the courtyard, men's Musallah, Lecture Hall, the Canopy, and women's Musallah of Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center. As you know, the Renovations are still ongoing, so this accommodation is being made for this Friday only.
Please note the following important points:
1. Bathrooms will not be available.
2. There will be no water provided for wuduu.
3. We kindly request everyone to bring a plastic bag for their shoes and keep the bag with them during the prayer.
4. Please bring your prayer rugs (sajjada) with you.
We encourage everyone to make wuduu at home before coming for the prayers. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated as we strive to ensure everyone's safety and comfort during the Renovations and these challenging weather conditions.
Jazakum Allahu Khairan

Summer Nights
Join us for the Summer Night Series; Module 2! A 3-week program presented by DAH Youth and G3nerations, hosted at Minara. We will delve into the questions: How does power corrupt? What are the ethics of power in Islam? And how can we pursue power for good purposes while ensuring that we don't become corrupted by it? Join us every Thursday at 8pm, starting August 1st, as we explore these themes through an Surat Yousuf.
Taboo
The taboo program is back again this weekend, with an extremely contentious and controversial but relevant topic!
School is around the corner, and parents, students, and even educators need to be equipped to deal with the challenges that present themselves when presented with Gender issues and LQBTQ issues at large. We need to equip our families and educators to deal with this prudently and effectively and within Islamic Sharia Compliance.
Join us as we dive deep into this discussion this upcoming Saturday at 7:00 PM at Minara Cafe, where Dr. Mobeen Vaid will address all your questions and concerns.
