Important Security & Parking Enforcement Update
MAV Security & Enforcement
Assalaamu Alaikum Dear Community Members,
The MAV administration is implementing a zero-tolerance policy regarding masjid security and parking enforcement to ensure the safety and well-being of our community members and volunteers. Due to an unprecedented rise in incidents that could compromise security, the following measures are now in effect:
Prince William County Police have been authorized by the MAV administration to:
-
Issue tickets for speeding on MAV property.
-
Address disorderly behavior and vandalism.
-
Enforce parking regulations and tow vehicles at the owner's expense if parking rules or volunteer instructions are not followed.
-
Tow vehicles parked in handicap spaces without proper permits or tags at the owner’s expense.
Security & Trespassing Enforcement:
- MAV security personnel and PWC Police are authorized to issue a No Trespassing order to repeat offenders.
- Violating a No Trespassing order will result in arrest and legal action.
Volunteer Safety & Police Involvement:
-
Any form of abuse or misconduct toward MAV volunteers will result in PWC Police involvement.
-
Once police are called, the request cannot be reversed, and the Individual may be asked to leave the masjid premises.
These policies have been implemented to protect our children, families, and all community members. We wish everyone a safe and blessed Ramadan.
Jazakum Allahu Khairan,
MAV Administration
