Board Position Openings and Job Opportunities
OPENINGS ON GRANADA ISLAMIC SCHOOL BOARD
The Granada Islamic School Board has three open positions and we invite community members interested in these roles to apply. The MCA will appoint these positions and they will serve until the next election in March 2025.
If you are interested in this volunteer leadership opportunity, please complete this form and attach your resume detailing your interest and relevant experience.
The GIS Board will host a community forum with the date to be announced soon, inshallah.

MCA has several open job positions, notably a new role for Security and Safety. We encourage all interested candidates to apply for this position. We have received a few applicants so far and welcome further applications before interviews begin shortly. The selection panel will consist of members from both the Executive Board and the Board of Trustees, along with external expert(s) in security and safety.
MCA Bookstore Launch & Community Potluck
Calling all MCA families! We are excited to host a cultural community potluck and a fun-filled evening with games, free giveaways, dinner, and dessert to celebrate the relaunch of the newly renovated MCA Bookstore!

Girls Rising Strong & Boys Breaking Through
What: MCA Youth and WVMA Youth are honored to announce that we are launching two programs for boys and girls ages 7-14 in 2025! The curriculum for the programs has been developed by Sr. Sana Imad and her team of specialists working with kids.
This curriculum will support the character, spiritual, and social development of the kids and youth in our communities in sha Allah.

The Life of the Prophet Muhammad

What: Embark on a weekly book study of The Life of the Prophet Muhammad by Leila Azzam & Aisha Gouverneur to learn the chronology of the life of the Prophet . This useful introduction to the Seerah draws on traditional Islamic biographical literature, including Hadith, and uses passages from the Qur'an throughout to reinforce the stories.
