Join us for Taraweeh prayers led by
Imam Osama Noureddine El-Khalti
We welcome Imam Osama Noureddine El-Khalti who is visiting us from Morocco to lead the Taraweeh prayers at our masjid. Imam Osama is a distinguished scholar of the Quran and a prolific reciter. Back in Morocco, he is a professional reciter on Moroccan radio and television. A Hafiz of the Holy Qur'an, he is proficient in multiple narrations and is certified with an Ijazah in the narration of Imam Warsh from Imam Nafiʿ through Imam Azraq.
His other qualifications include:
• An accredited Imam, appointed by the Moroccan Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
• A religious preacher serving in the scientific councils of the Moroccan Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
• He holds a bachelor’s degree in Arabic language and a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, specializing in Qur'anic Sciences from Sultan Moulay Sulaiman University.
• An instructor of the Holy Quran and its sciences, affiliated with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
• An instructor of Tajweed rules, performance, and vocal Maqamat.
• Winner of 1st place in the Mohammed VI National Competition for memorization, recitation, and Tajweed of the Holy Quran.
He has represented Morocco in numerous prestigious international Quranic competitions and forums, including:
• Al-Fatih International Competition (Libya)
• Tunis International Competition (Tunisia)
• Al-Aqsa International Competition (Jordan)
• Kuwait International Competition (Kuwait)
• Morocco International Competition (Morocco)
• Katara International Competition (Qatar)
• International Reciter Competition (Bahrain)
Additionally, he has led Taraweeh prayers in various European and Gulf countries, and the United States.
