Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
The Clifton Mosque cordially invites all members of our community to join us this coming Saturday at 3:30 p.m. to read the Holy Quran and offer Duaa in memory of our beloved brother, Dr. Mohammad Alvi. Dr. Alvi passed away on the evening of December 21st, 2023. May Allah (swt) grant him Jannatul Firdous.
We hope to see everyone between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday. At the Clifton Mosque: 3668 Clifton Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45220

It's with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Alvi, as he passed away on the evening of December 21st, 2023.
He was a founding member of our Muslim community who contributed to the establishment of the Islamic Association of Cincinnati as we know it. He was a Doctor of Education while serving the general Muslim community since immigrating to the Cincinnati area in the 1970’s, through countless responsibilities via the IAC, and otherwise.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruqayyia Alvi; four loving children, Shaheena Alvi, Nazeena Alvi, Bilal Alvi, and Khalil Alvi, His eight grandchildren (Shaiza Alvi, Sohaib Alvi, Safwan Alvi, Ammar D'Ambrosio, Azim D'Ambrosio, Ilias D'Ambrosio, Daood Alvi, and Ibraheem Alvi. He is also survived by his two great-grandchildren Haashim Awan, and Inaaya Awan.
Please make Dua for the departed soul. May Allah SWT shower this beautiful soul with Mercy and grant him the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdaus. May Allah give sabr to the bereaved family, Ameen.
