As-Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,

Dear community members,

Alhamdulillah, we are excited to launch our Islamic Book Club at the Louisville Islamic Center! Join us for our first meeting this Sunday, February 2, after Asr prayer (4:30 PM). The session is planned to be 45 minutes to an hour, InshaAllah.

We will begin Imam Ghazl’s book, ‘Banes of the Tongue’, exploring the impact of speech on our souls, relationships, and communities. Through group discussions, we will learn to differentiate between halal and haram speech and develop strategies for mindful communication.

The first chapter of the book will be covered this week. Books are available at the Masjid. We look forward to seeing you there as we embark on this journey of learning and growth together.
