As announced few weeks ago before the month of Ramadan started, Sheikh Mohamed Gibril, the renowned Egyptian Qari, will be insha Allah visiting Masjid Al-Mustafa in Waterbury, CT tonight Thursday 3/20/2025. He will be leading the Taraweeh prayer coinciding with the beginning of the last 10 days of this blessed month. Sheikh Mohamed Gibril is one of the most renowned sheikh for his Taraweeh recitations and doaas/supplications in the entire middle east region. So please take advantage of his one night visit tonight at Masjid Al-Mustafa and feel free to invite other friends and family members from the rest of the state and out of the state to join us.
Before Salah starts, there will be a short 10 minutes presentation by a non-profit charity organization called Human Appeal USA. They will be seeking your help and donations to support their charity work which is spread worldwide.

As stated before, the last 10 nights of Ramadan will be starting tonight insha Allah (Thursday 3/20/2025). Accordingly, Tahajud prayers will be performed by Sheikh Ibrahim Salman at Masjid Al-Mustafa before Fajr at 3:30 AM. It will be 4 rakaat in congregation and will last up to 60 minutes or less so we will finish by 4:30 AM insha Allah. Those of us who prefer to go home for Sohoor will have reasonable time to do so. Please continue to do your best seeking Lailat Alqadar; which is better than 1000 months.
Please note the changes to the Fajr and Ishaa prayers Iqama times which will be effective today. Ishaa prayer Iqama will be at 8:45 PM and Fajr prayer Iqama will be 6:00 AM. We would like also to remind you that there is IFTAR every single night at the Masjid until the end of Ramadan insha Allah
On another related note, Zakat Alfitr has to be paid before Salat Aleid.The amount for Zakat Alfitr is $15 per person, including adults and children. There are marked boxes in the Masjid prayer area designated for that purpose along with boxes for Zakat Almal and general Masjid donations to cover all Masjid operations and expenses.
