Community Archive, Welcome our New Trustee, and More.

Dear Masjid plus news, 

Assalamu Alaikum! We would like to share our quarterly report for Q2 2024. In this report, you can learn more about our vision, upcoming projects and recent accomplishments. Here are a few highlights from our second quarter:

• • • • Community Archiving Kick-Off - On June 30th, we had the pleasure of hosting a special Taleem with **** to officially kick off our community archiving project. The goal of this project is to preserve original documents, records, photos, and audio/visual materials for the Atlanta Masjid Community, starting with a remarkable collection from Br. Nassar Madyun and Br. Hassan Shakir, dating back to 1974.

      • Welcoming Newest Trustee Member Dr. Naim G. Shaheed - 

        We're honored to welcome Dr. Naim G. Shaheed as the newest member of our Board of Trustees. Dr. Shaheed is the Chief Medical Director, surgical specialist, and owner of Ankle and Foor Centers of America, Lithonia and Midtown offices. He currently serves as the Chief of Podiatric Surgery, Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery at Emory University Hillandale Hospital.
