A Weekend with Ustadh Mustafa Briggs

Last Saturday, we were honored to host Ustadh Mustafa Briggs as our Sacramento community came together to learn about and discuss Islam & Black Empowerment in America and around the world.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ustadh Mustafa for sharing his time and knowledge with us, and to everyone who joined us in this event.

Quran Memorization

SALAM IQRA School

If you or your children are interested in joining our Quran Memorization Program at SALAM IQRA' School, we invite you to fill out the interest form.

Schedule: Mondays/Wednesdays Sessions.
Location: Held at SALAM Islamic Center.
Fee: $80 per student per month with a family discount available.

This class, led by Imam Ahmadullah Masoud, is a unique opportunity for Dari-speaking women to deepen their understanding of the Quran.

The Night Journey

Al-Isra' wal-Mi'raj

Al-Isra' wal-Mi'raj, a pivotal event in Islamic history, is commemorated on the 27th night of Rajab. This miraculous journey of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) from Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah to Masjid Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem, and subsequently to the heavens, is a cornerstone of Islamic faith. It led to the establishment of the five daily prayers, a fundamental Pillar of Islam.

This remarkable journey took place during a period of profound personal and communal challenges for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), marked by the loss of his uncle and beloved wife, as well as the rejection he faced in Taif. The event of Al-Isra' wal-Mi'raj, serves as a reminder to Muslims that with every hardship comes ease, and that Allah rewards those who remain patient and steadfast in their faith. This journey was a divine affirmation and strengthening for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in preparation for the challenges ahead in his prophetic mission.

As we observe this significant night in Rajab, let us seek guidance and strength through our own difficulties, with unwavering faith as our guide. May the story of Al-Isra' wal-Mi'raj inspire us to endure through adversities, holding firm to our beliefs and the teachings of Islam with dedication and resilience.

100 Years of Palestine

Saturday, February 17th, 1 pm - 7 pm

We're honored to extend an invitation to the Northern California community for a landmark event: the 100 Years of Palestine an Immersive Exhibition at Tarbiya House Roseville.

This educational event celebrates Palestine's history, culture, and resilience, featuring symbols like the keffiyeh and olive branch. Visitors will experience Palestinian art and artifacts, including works by Palestinian children, gaining insight into their heritage and values.
