Dear Community Members,

Asalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Alhamdulillah,after consultation with the current President, Executive Committee and key volunteers in the community, the Board of Directors is excited to announce Br. Rafique Awan as the next President of Worcester Islamic Center (WIC) effective immediately. Br. Rafique will serve as the President for the next 2 years.We are thankful to Br. Rafique and his family for taking on this challenge, and we pray that we excel in both dunya and akhirah through the leadership of his team, grow closer to one another and ultimately to our Creator. We ask for your continued du'as for our success and unity.

The Board would like to thank the outgoing President Br. Osman Acheampong and his family immensely for serving the WIC community with sincerity and passion for the last 4 years. We make du'a for them that Allah SWT accepts their good deeds and sincere hard work, and gives them Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.

Please make du'a for Br. Rafique, his family, and his team, that Allah SWT give them the guidance and strength to serve the community with honesty and sincerity and give them barakah in their resources and time for this blessed voluntary effort.

Please join us on Friday, Jul 25th night as Br. Rafique and his team will be sharing their vision and goals for the next 2 years for our masjid and community.

A father of five and devoted community volunteer, Br. Rafique has led transformative initiatives across industries while staying anchored in Islamic values. His leadership is rooted in servanthood, and his guiding principle is to excel in both Dunya and Akhirah. He now aims to lead WIC with purpose, unity, and a bold vision for the future.
