Limited Parking for Jummah at University Lutheran Church - Friday, March 29 | Please proceed to University Methodist Church 1120 S Harrison Rd
Parishioners at the University Lutheran Church will be attending Good Friday Services on March 29. Therefore, parking at ULC is limited and our parking attendant posted at the ULC entrance will let their members in and direct our members to park at the University Methodist Church once allotted spots for us are filled.
- Please carpool if you can.
- Please drive slowly in the ULC lot owing to additional bidirectional traffic at the South entrance.
- Please park on the West end of the University Methodist Church lot (1120 S Harrison Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823) as it will be closer to walk along the street Narcissus Dr to get to Islamic Center (instead of Harrison Rd)

Youth Iftar Cooking Competition
The Iftar Cooking Competition will take place on April 4, 2024 between 7:00-8:30pm, youth boys and girls between ages 9-18 may participate. Please complete 1 form for your team, each team may have 3 'chefs' and will present at least 3 items to be judged.
Competition Instructions:
A recipe must be submitted for each submission including ingredients, measurements of ingredients, and cooking instructions. This is to ensure that those with allergies or diet restrictions can be made aware. A sign will be places at your table if your item contains dairy, egg, meat, nuts, etc.
Please cook enough of each item to feed at least 50 people as this iftar dinner will be open to the entire Mosque Community as well as the judges for the competition.
Food will be cooked at home (the kitchen will not be available) so it is recommended to use aluminum foil containers for any hot items.
Parents may help assist the teams in the cooking for safety purposes, however, they may not help more than one team and the teams are encouraged to do the majority of the cooking and assembly.
Each submitted recipe will be admitted into a Youth Ramadan Digital Cookbook, which can be purchased at the Masjid Coffee Shop to fundraiser for future youth programs. It is a digital version and will be available for download in pdf format upon purchase. By entering the competition and submitting the recipes below you consent to participate in this cookbook and will receive a free copy for your personal use.

Local Media Coverage
Please keep Dr. Hisham Qandeel, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon, in your prayers as he heads to Gaza on Saturday to treat the injured in the middle of the war zone. Dr. Qandeel will be joining Dr. Omar Qahwash, Neurosurgeon, and Dr. Farashin Silevany, Hospitalist, all physicians from our community, who are already on the field, treating the injured. May Allah bless them all for the noble service and may Allah return them back safely to their families.
