Ramadan Updates:
Inshallah, first day of the holy month of Ramadan will be Monday, March 11, 2024. We want to take this opportunity to wish everyone Ramadan Mubarak, and pray to Allah (SWT) to bless every one with health, peace, and piety. We pray to Allah to help all of us to double up our efforts to do more Hasanat and especially those positively affecting lives of others. We specially pray Allah (SWT) to ease the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza.
The first Night of Taraweeh (in shaa Allah), led by Sheikh Mostafa, will be on Sunday, March 10, 2024.
Ramadan Program:
The following is the Ramadan program Structure:

Maghrib Athan per Canyon Country Prayer times followed by breaking the Fast

Maghrib Prayer

Main Iftar meal

8:30 PM to 9:00 PM - Group Quran recitation

9:00 PM to 9:15 PM - Isha Prayer

9:15 PM to 10:00 PM --Taraweeh Prayers (eight Rakaas with a 5 minutes Khatira after the first 4 Rakaas)

10:00 PM 10:05 PM - Shafa & Witr

Iftar Sponsorship:
Iftar sponsorship will be available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the first twenty days of Ramadan, and every day during the last ten Ramadan days. Anyone who would like to sponsor an Iftar night can do so either on the Sign-up sheet posted on the Masjid bulletin board or by signing up online through the following link:

- Khateeb starts the Khutbah at 1:15 PM.
- The Friday Prayer will be streamed live on the Masjid FB page :http://Facebook.com/AUCSCV/
- Please avoid double parking, and use street parking right behind the masjid. It's only a short walk to the Masjid from that area.
Quran Reciting + Contemplations Sharing (Thursdays @6:30 PM)

Fajr Prayer & Hadith Contemplations (Sundays @ 6:00 AM):
Please join us every Sunday in the Masjid to pray Fajr and participate in discussing and reflecting on two or three Hadiths, Inshallah. This Sunday, Brother Ensar will continue presenting Hadiths from (Riyad Assalihin)
In-Masjid Prayers (Isha @8:00 PM & Fajr @ 6:00AM):
Community members are urged to come and do Jamaa prayers, especially Isha and Fajr, where most days we'll have a short Khatira by one of our esteemed Khateebs, or another learned Brother In Sha Allah.
Sunday School:
Inshallah, during Ramadan, a special program will be offered to engage our students in activities designed to present the meaning of this holy month in ways the young children can relate to. This special program will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM every Ramadan Sunday. The Program will start on Sunday, March 10, 2024.
Community News & Events
1. Youth Conference: (This Saturday, March 2)
This conference is organized by the Islamic Society of Simi Valley and co-sponsored by local Masajid including Al-Umma Center. If you are interested in going please purchase tickets ASAP so that the caterers can prepare food for the event attendees in shaa Allah. Table assignments are first come first served, so the sooner tickets are purchased, the closer seating will be to the stage.
