Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us to remain vigilant in the last ten days of Ramadan and look for the Night of Qadr (Night of Power) which is "better than a thousand months" (Q 97:3). In these last ten nights we are encouraged to increase our good deeds, perform extra prayers, read more Quran, engage in more remembrance of God, spend more time in contemplation, and increase our charitable giving. May God accept all of your prayers, all of your good deeds, and all of your giving in these final days of this blessed month!

Since it was established in 1983 by Palestinian-American scholar, Dr. Ismail Al Faruqi, the American Islamic College has been guided by a dream: an academically rigorous, proud, unapologetic, inclusive and non-denominational Muslim American university that would welcome students from all parts of the American Muslim mosaic while serving the nation as a whole.
Today, with operating and degree granting authority from the Illinois Board of Higher Education and academic accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission, we are blessed to report that this dream is alive, growing, and becoming more realized every day.
